t’s no secret that in life, a dose of courage and recklessness is sometimes needed to grasp our dreams. This is exactly what Alessia and I thought as we drove down from Punta Jolanda, at 2,300 metres, in the middle of the night, through forests and along barely passable mountain roads in a Land Rover Defender.
Alessandra and Andrea celebrated their wedding in Gressoney-La-Trinité, in the heart of the Italian Alps, surrounded by family and friends and by a landscape deeply connected to Andrea’s life. His family’s home offered a glimpse into this bond, with its interiors and familiar details carrying traces of a history intertwined with the mountains and the village around them.

hroughout those days, the celebration moved naturally between the intimacy of the house, the time spent together, and the vastness of the surrounding landscape. There was a genuine sense of connection in the way people gathered, in the small moments shared, and in the friendships that grew along the way.
Looking back, what stays with me is the beauty of those days, the people we met, and the feeling of having documented something that went beyond the celebration itself. I’m particularly happy to see this work featured in Vogue, for the experience we shared, the friendships that blossomed with Alessandra and Andrea, and the people who helped make those days so special.
