Naomi and Kam’s wedding was not just a day, but a series of days spent together in Mexico, surrounded by family, friends and the people who travelled from different parts of the world to celebrate with them.

There was something very special in the way everything unfolded. The celebrations, the dinners, the music, the time spent together, but also all those smaller moments in between. The feeling of a group of people coming together and slowly becoming part of the same story.

We loved photographing it for this reason. There was beauty everywhere, of course, in the place, in the light, in the details and in the way everything had been put together. But what interested us most was always what was happening between people.

Naomi and Kam welcomed us from the very beginning with a generosity and openness that made us feel completely at ease. We never felt like we were simply there to document what was happening.

We felt involved in those days, sharing the same spaces, meals, conversations and moments with them and with the people around them.

The same feeling extended to the wonderful team of planners and everyone who worked alongside us. There was a rare sense of trust and ease throughout the whole celebration, and a natural way of working together that we will remember for a long time.

After so many years of photographing weddings, these are the experiences that stay with us. Not only because of the photographs we create, but because of the people we meet and the connections that sometimes come from spending several days together.

We arrived in Mexico to photograph a wedding. We left feeling that we had experienced something much more personal than that.

Naomi and Kam, thank you for letting us be part of it.
