I met Ludovica and Olmo at a dinner with friends in Modica a couple of years ago. When they told me about their desire to celebrate their wedding in Sicily and to involve me, I immediately felt it was going to be something special. I’ve always loved observing how life somehow arranges appointments that lead us to certain encounters. These are events linked together, stretched along invisible threads to our eyes.
But a radical choice – like the one I made years ago to choose a place like Modica to build my home – eventually led me there that evening, with friends who brought me to that meeting, like Simone Sabaini and Alex Majoli. There’s a beautiful book I read years ago, The Celestine Prophecy, which speaks of this invisible thread, this flow of everyday coincidences that guide us toward our true destiny.
